The acronym NoLita stands for “North of Little Italy”. It lies in between Bowery to the East, Lafayette Street to the West. East Houston Street enclaves it to the North all the way down to Broome Street to the South. It is a charming micro-neighborhood that has some of the city's top restaurants, and nightlife.
A short distance to the East Village and to Soho with Broadway nearby; it reflects the constant struggle between neighborhoods that are expanding, such as Chinatown, and those who are disappearing like Little Italy, creating new buffer zones such as No-Ho and NoLita in their trail.
Filled with charm, pop up stores, boutiques and thrift shops – it is a very desirable area to live. Stop at one of the many Cafés or bars to soak in the soul of this vibrant quarter.
